Road milling picks. Complete tools welcome.

Worn road milling picks are composite tools: a carbide cutting element is attached to a steel body. We assess complete picks as well as separated tungsten carbide tips for purchase or processing with subsequent purchase.

Road & mining picks

Road, mining and ground engineering tools

Offer used round-shank picks, asphalt and concrete milling teeth, cold milling picks, road planing tools, and tools from soil stabilizers or recyclers. Similar carbide-tipped tools can also come from trenching, mining, tunnel excavation, drum cutters, roadheaders, augers or foundation drilling. These applications use different tool designs; photos can help us assess your actual material.

A complete pick is more than its carbide tip

Steel bodies, retaining sleeves, holders and brazing are different fractions from the carbide. A full tool’s gross weight is therefore not the recovered carbide weight. Tell us whether your stock consists of complete picks, loose tips or a mixed load. Do not dismantle tools solely for the enquiry; we first assess a suitable separation route.

Brazed and special cutting elements

Tell us if separated tips still carry steel or brazing residues. Conical picks, bullet teeth and other carbide-tipped constructions can be offered for assessment. Diamond-faced or PCD variants and bodies with missing carbide tips need to be identified separately; they are not automatically valued as the same material.

Processing and subsequent purchase

We agree the material scope, receipt and weighing, separation work, determination of the recovered quantity, price or valuation method, processing costs and handling of other fractions before acceptance. After processing, the result and settlement follow this agreement. An unknown carbide percentage or mixed tool design requires individual assessment.

Preparing an offer

Tell us the approximate quantity and country, add photos of the complete tools and cutting tips if available, and describe earth, concrete, asphalt or other contamination. Separate known material groups where practical and identify any already separated tips. For regular replacement streams, indicate approximate volumes and frequency. Transport and acceptance are confirmed before dispatch.
